At the start of the course there is a very special visit from some amazing critters and creatures from the Harry PotterTM film! The highlight will be meeting Dobby the White Faced Owl and various others like:
- Dobby the white-faced owl
- Aragog the tarantula
- Trevor the cane toad
- Nagini or Severus Snake our common boas
- and many more
Meet Dobby he's a real hoot!
White-face owls are a small species of owl but Dobby certainly has a big personality.
White-faced owls have a rather magical defence mechanism. When faced with a similar-sized predator they flare their wings to appear larger. When faced with something much larger, they elongate their body and narrow their eyes to thin slits. It really is quite a transfiguration!
We think he is so ‘magic’ that he was named after Dobby the house elf from Harry PotterTM!
