Saturday 13th March 2021
Time: 3pm to 4pm
I’ve designed this Saturday afternoon workshop to take place via the Zoom platform so you can join me in my studio from the comfort of you own home.
I love painting puffins and I want to show you how to paint one!
For some research before the class why not check out some of my puffin pieces on my website or research 'Rathlin Island' and learn lots about the Puffins before you put brush to canvas!!
This Saturday afternoon art workshop is aimed at Young Artists aged 5 plus, but many of the projects can be adapted to a variety of capabilities in the 3 to 6 year old age range, with some adult supervision. For example how detailed they like to finish an art piece. The subject will always be suitable for young child up to late teens.
LIST OF MATERIALS FOR THE SESSION (but not essential)
- Acrylic Paints with a Canvas or Watercolour with watercolour paper
or you can use colouring pencils or pastels with paper...whatever you prefer really!
- Some different size brushes
- Drawing Pad/ Sketch Pad A4 or A3
- Pencil and eraser
- Glass or container with water (For cleaning brushes)
Children and the entire household can get involved in this Puffin family themed workshop . Any age can join in, the little ones might need some help, but really all you need is some art materials. I make all my children classes adaptable to whatever art materials they have already such as drawing paper and colouring pencils, or they can use watercolour paints. A canvas and acrylic paints work really well too when you’re creating a masterpiece!
I’m excited to teach different aspects of art in these workshops, I will have a vast range of topics from nature to the natural world/ animal kingdom and will be giving the children an insight into what I have been working on personally from my studio to. I'll be giving step-by-step tutorials during each of these workshops and can't wait to get those artist vibes flowing throughout the sessions!
This workshop is designed to give your young ones lots of exciting inspiration, to improve their confidence in creating their own style of artwork and most importantly to teach them to think as an 'artist'.
Most children already process an artistic eye, they just need to learn how to use it. Train the eye and the hand will follow!
After purchasing you will receive an email before the class containing the Zoom Details and a link to register! So please keep these details safe!
See you in Virtual World!
Many thanks Dawn x
