This painting is inspired by a truly magical family trip to Les Gets in France, a place that left a lasting impression long after the snow had melted.
Although I’m still finding my feet on the slopes (gracefully or not!), the experience of being high up in the mountains was nothing short of breathtaking. The vastness, the crisp air, and the beauty of the snowy landscape created moments I’ll never forget. From skiing adventures to the thrill of dog sledding, every day was filled with excitement, laughter, and that special kind of joy that only a winter holiday can bring.
Les Gets itself had such a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, full of life and energy. One of the highlights for my kids was the famous “Indian Run,” which I’ve captured within this piece.
This painting is less about perfect skiing and more about the feeling of being there — the movement, the energy and the magic of shared experiences its such a special place. It holds such fond memories for me, and it felt only natural to bring that joy to life on canvas.
A celebration of winter, adventure, and connection, this piece is perfect for anyone who loves the mountains, cherishes family holidays, or simply wants to bring a sense of freshness and exhilaration into their space.
