Dragonfly Children’s Watercolour Art Class with Local Artist and Author Dawn Crothers
Step into the world of Dawn Crothers as she guides young artists through a step-by-step watercolour tutorial celebrating this summer’s Dragonfly Festival at WWT Castle Espie.
Dawn, author of The Snail Artist, is fascinated by the tiny creatures that often go unnoticed in nature. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Espie, with its birds, wildlife, and natural beauty, this special workshop offers children the chance to explore creativity and nature together.
The session will begin with Dawn reading from The Snail Artist and showing the dragonfly illustrations from the book. Children will then draw and paint alongside Dawn in a fun and inspiring hands-on activity.
More Details
I have found over the last number of years that by teaching the children to get back to the basics of drawing & painting can really help them in becoming more confident and creative in their thinking in everyday life. Most of all I will make their experience fun and it is always a chance to meet new friends and paint with an established artist and experience
