I wanted to share a little peek at a recent commission that was particularly special to me.

This one was created as a special wedding anniversary gift for a lovely family, and I was given the most wonderful collection of ideas and memories to work with.

It brought together all the things that mean so much to them, their family, a very special place, and all those little personal details that make their story completely their own.

I love commissions like this because, although I’m the one creating the artwork, the ideas and memories come from the people themselves.

It’s like taking lots of little pieces of someone’s story and bringing them together to create one beautiful picture.

And that’s what I love most about personalised artwork.

It isn’t something that could have been bought from a shop. It’s made especially for that person, that family and that moment in their lives.

For this commission, every little detail had a reason for being there, and together they created a picture full of memories, a perfect day captured in one unique piece of artwork.

I honestly never get bored of hearing the stories behind my commissions.

Sometimes it’s a favourite holiday, a family home, a wedding venue, a much-loved pet or a special place that holds years of memories.

Sometimes it’s all of those things together!

I love taking someone’s personal ideas, photographs and memories and turning them into something they can look at every day and smile.

And knowing that a piece of bespoke artwork might become a treasured family keepsake for years to come makes it even more special.
