This week, I took a little break from blogging while my kids were off school, and I held a three-day art camp at the studio. Though it's hard work, it brings me a great sense of satisfaction seeing students’ confidence in their abilities grow so much over just a few days.
I decided to collage together birds, a seascape with figures, and a vibrant still life, bringing an eclectic mix of themes, textures, and colors onto the canvas. It’s a beautiful, chaotic fusion that I hope will come together in that perfectly imperfect way.
Autumn has arrived when the days grow shorter and the leaves begin to fall. For an artist, this time of year is incredibly exciting—a period of visual transformation as the landscape undergoes a complete colour shift.
As a professional artist, juggling two young boys and running a bustling art school, life is always full of surprises. There's never a dull moment, and I'm excited to share these experiences with you.
