I immediately fell in love with this magnificent giant. There was something incredibly powerful yet gentle about watching him, and I became fascinated by the thought that bears once roamed freely across the Irish landscape. The Eurasian brown bear was once native to Ireland, disappearing from the island thousands of years ago.
I’ll be completely honest writing the story was a challenge at first, but it became part of the journey. My family patiently listened as I wrote and read aloud again and again, and their encouragement kept me going.
This week, I took a little break from blogging while my kids were off school, and I held a three-day art camp at the studio. Though it's hard work, it brings me a great sense of satisfaction seeing students’ confidence in their abilities grow so much over just a few days.
